Individual Lessons

Private instruction can be tailored to each student’s experience and goals, whether pursuing long-term study, preparing for a performance, developing a particular area of technique or repertoire, or undertaking a focused period of study.

Lessons are available in person in New York and online.

Student Performances

Students have regular opportunities to perform, including two annual recitals: Pallavi in the spring and Charanam in the fall. The recitals give students experience presenting Carnatic repertoire in performance and, as they progress, developing skills in accompaniment, rhythmic interaction and improvisation.

Students may also participate in open classes and other performance opportunities throughout the year.
